Output: Where will the animation be viewed (e.g. Television, website, social media)

2. Concept and Style

Concept Summary: Describe the overall theme or message.

Style References: Provide examples of styles you like (e.g., photorealistic, cartoonish). Include links or images if possible.

3. Technical Specifications

Duration: Specify the length of the animation.

Format and Resolution: Mention any specific format requirements (HD, 4K).

Frame Rate: Specify the specific frame rate (25fps, 50fps)

4. Content Details

Key Elements: List all elements that must be included in the illustration.

Colour Scheme: Mention any specific colours or palettes to be used.

5. Timeline and Milestones

Set clear deadlines for initial drafts, revisions, and final delivery.

6. Budget

Provide information on budget constraints to align expectations.

7. Approval Process

Outline the steps for approval at various stages of the project. Include who will be responsible for giving final approval on the illustrations.

8. Deliverables

Specify the required format for the final deliverables (e.g., high-resolution files, vector files) and any necessary specifications (e.g., DPI, file types) and what deliverables are expected at each stage.

9. Licensing

A license will be granted for the illustration so you will need to provide information regarding what territory you will be publishing in (e.g. UK, Europe, Global) and the duration the broadcast will run for (e.g. 6 months, 1 year)

10. Post-Completion Support

Discuss any support or additional services needed after delivery, such as modifications or additional formats, and clarify if these will incur extra costs.

By including these elements in your brief, clients can effectively communicate their needs to a CGI production studio, paving the way for successful collaboration.
