The Brief

The international airline was set to launch ‘Feels Good To Move’, their first brand campaign since 2019, that would tell avid adventurers and busy business travellers that the airline was once again ready for take-off.
The client ‘BecauseXM’ was asked to bring the ATL concept to life in an activation at the Outernet in London, a state-of-the-art digital exhibition-space just perfect for an out-of-this-world experience.
We were asked to help to create a physical manifestation of the brand’s proposition in a fun, unique and unforgettable way, in an Insta-worthy space where every feature was worth taking a selfie with.

The Installation

We were asked to create an interactive application which allowed our client to show real-time interactive brand icons at an event in the form of an artistic installation which would be activated by gesture control via webcam transforming a standard large format video wall into an interactive motion-controlled video wall.

This experience was part of a wider immersive experience that was created for the end client.

We created an application which would run from a laptop, this used custom code to control the Ventuz runtime from the gestures seen by the webcam.

The content we created took the clients iconic logo and created a beautiful murmuration effect which was driven by body tracking technology triggered by the webcam. The software we set up allowed for full body tracking so a person could move their whole body and effect a real-time 3D particle system live Infront of them, this created a completely unique effect each time a new visitor tried the experience.

Final Thoughts

This project was great example of how we can repurpose existing standard visual hardware and breathe new life into it by making a fully immersive interactive experience driven by Realtime interactive software.
